:?: What to do -- -- what to do...

All ready to head to Baja and......... aaaahhhhhh, out of the blue a call from Geneva Switzerland.

A # of weeks ago while I was packing my Baja gear and waiting for my new passport to come back from the officials that be in Ottawa Canada so I could leave for the Baja as planned, I received an interesting phone call from Swizzyland. The offer? Too good to pass up. And the offer kept getting better and better as I hummed and hawwed about whether I would take the contract gig offer to manage a software development Company in Switzerland for a while, or go to the Baja as I have planned for the past year.

A tough decision, but of course I couldn't refuse the crazy offer from the land of Big White snow capped Alps. But oh how the negotiation process made me long all the more for basking in the Baja sun this Winter.

Now I'm packing muklucs and a touque instead of snorkel gear and my Baja hiking stuff. Last 3 weeks have been busy. Canada -> Switzerland -- Canada to pack for Switzerland, but oh how I feel like just driving to Baja from BC Canada, but... it's off early in the new year to take this crazy contract offer. Thought I would never go back to the software industry, but... sometimes the challenge, the crazy cash and the bonuses are king and win out in the big noodle decision department. Baja -- Swiss gig? Baja -- Swiss Gig? Ok, Swiss gig and Baja as a bonus.

As they say, never say never.

I'll be dreaming again of Baja for a while.

So I'll have to plan another Great Escape to Baja for next season. It's a long haul back and forth from Switzerland to Canada and then to Baja, but I should be down to my favorite spot in Baja during the next holiday break, maybe in the spring or summer. Will probably Fly instead of driving from BC Canada.

Been tough logging on to Nomad over the past few weeks during busy schedule and negotiations. Went into it with a clear mind so I stayed off the computer for a while.

Will be logging into Baja Nomad as much as I can from Switzerland to stay in touch and up to date, and as much as it will drive me nutz, I'll do the gig and be down in the Baja as soon as possible.

Oh beautiful beaches, sun drenched days of Baja and ice cold cervesas..... please wait for me.

Will be getting in touch with Capt. Mike to let him know I won't be able to make the magic shows in the villages this winter and will have to make arrangements for next time I'm down. Emailed Friskie a few days ago. I Wake up some mornings thinking maybe maybe I should have caught a ride down with Friskie when she left for the Baja last month. Don't go there RM. Things happen for a reason.

Do the gig, then the Baja trip will be that much more special.
