Has anyone made any contact via 2 meter with any of the ranchers/families/communities in the sierras de Guadalupe? San Franciscos? la Gigante? the
Comondus or La Purisima? With the incredible amount of water from Odile the silence from those places (most have solar) is haunting. Also anyone
get the latest on the flooding at San Ignacio?

Hola Bucko...si Dios quiere voy a llegar a casa manana y vamos hablar la Sierra por radio. The problem is there is still no cell, land line or
internet so it will be hard to let you know what we find out.

Muchas gracias, mi amiga. Have a safe trip home and when you can, I would appreciate finding out how Sta Marta and San Francisco fared and what they
need for help...I am hoping the military will do the helicopter drops again but it seems that the south is keeping them busy...also any details on
just how bad the flooding is/was in San Ignacio....I understand the cell tell problem. Hope Juanita is ok.

i think we can only reach SAn Francisco but they may know the status of other ranchos. My amigo was in Vizcaino in his helicopter doing medivacs and
rescues but got called further south. I sure wonder how everyone did in San Ignacio too.

Regarding San Ignacio - a friend talked to Juanita on her landline the evening of the 17th - she said that the arroyo is flooding well over the dam so
folks can't get in or out and there is no electricity, cell phones or water. No major damage but only time will tell what really happened.
Santa Marta/mountain contact

Just got a message relayed to me from a radio contact in Santa Marta (SSF)...road is destroyed and out of food....but thank God for pack animals!!!!
Not to eat but to head out to Ejido Bonfil and get groceries!!!!! I suspect that road will be a major mess for awhile.

Our antenna was down so we couldnt communicate directly but I spoke to the head of our Proteccion Civil yesterday who just came from a meeting in
Vizcaino. Everyone on the ranchos in la sierra are fine with some damage but not much and the helicopters have brought dispensa so all is well up
there. I wonder how the cave paintings fared?
