Off road Jeep trail. I've only watched the first 5 minutes so far but from minute 2-5 is exciting, listen to the wife/girlfriend.

Love those mind-f roads. If the same road was in a river-bottom, it would be a zero issue. But stick that road on the side of a mountain, and now
you've got something.

I get a chuckle from the video. Most people just clam up and/or hold their breath on this exposed trail. For sure no mater how many times one does the
trail it sure gets your attention.
We had two notable issues so far this summer.
Last month a JK rolled off the road above the steps?? The place is pretty benign. We all guess the guy was not paying attention and just drifted off
the side. Rolled several times and ended up pointed up hill. Gravity was not enough to propel him to the top of the steps? The pass was closed for a
day during recovery.
The next thing was last week when heavy flooding washed out the road down where normal cars drive. Below the falls And Via Farina. Minor inconvenience
and no reports since so I guess the road is now open.
Black Bear has a Moab rating of about a 4-, but close attention is required at each of the switch backs where every vehicle has to make 3/4 point
turns. We see full size pickups and Hummer H1 doing the trip. Spotters are always present for these big rigs. Each switch back has got probably a 2000
foot drop off until one gets down below Bridal falls where normal cars travel. BB Pass is one way from Red Mountain pass to the falls. Falls to
Telluride is a 2 lane width road.
The last death I can remember was in 2003 when a Jeep Rubicon went off the switch back just before the river crossing below the steps. 2 died and the
rig went all the way to the bottom. Speculating as to the cause. Nothing was ever verified as to cause. Experienced driver probably screwed up??

I went to college in Durango. Awesome area. I was to scared to do it back then, but then I worked for an off road driving team for Toyota and with
spotters it's not to bad unless it's raining or snowing.
