Where is Richard Van Horn, the San Felipe Paleontologist?

I would run into Ricardo Van Horn on the rocky beaches of north San Felipe but I did not see him this summer. He used to collect rocks. Anyone know how he is doing?

Thanks,

John

Dunno if it's the same guy, but maybe 4-5 years ago, my wife and I met an American guy in one of the sidewalk restaurants in SF. He pulled a smooth, egg-shaped rock out of a sock, which he said was petrified dinosaur poop. We're not paleontologists, but the smooth, egg-shaped rock appeared to be nothing more than a smooth, egg-shaped rock. We chatted for maybe five minutes. He gave us the smooth, egg-shaped rock which is still alive and well in our backyard.

That is him. Do not tell him its a rock though, as he would be highly insulted. It reminds me of the movie "A Beautiful Mind".

This is a completely unplanned, off-the-cuff interview:

We used to see him all over town, but we completely missed him this year. Any news would be appreciated.

Baja attracts some great people.

Thanks!
