Hello
My boyfriend and I have a 4 day trip to La Paz booked for Oct 21st and are wondering if we should reschedule in light of the recent hurricane?
I'm struggling to find much info on La Paz as it all seems to be focused on the worst hit areas further south. So if anyone can offer any advice it
would be much appreciated.
We're coming from the UK and were planning on visiting Baja before going on to travel through the mexican mainland - we would be sorely dissapointed
to have to miss it out!
Thanks in advance.

Oct 21st should be fine. Actually, currently isn't bad either in my opinion. The streets are a bit messy but certainly drivable. restaurants are
open, stores are open, even the big supermarkets and Walmart and Home Depot, etc. In those stores, all seems to be perfectly fine and well stocked.
The water is very calm, and the forecast for the next ten days shows low wind and no rain. La Paz is getting back to normal quickly. It is the
capital of all Baja, so the government did not ignore this town, instead, focused on it. You can certainly see quite a bit of evidence of the damage
from Odile, but most places seem untouched.
I don't know what the availability of hotels is right this minute, but I am sure that you will have no trouble finding good accomodations by the time
you are scheduled to be here.
I would firmly recommend that you visit La Paz in October.

That said, do you have reservations? There was a mad dash for hotels rooms by people who lost their housing in Cabo so finding a room maybe be
difficult.
If you do have reservations, confirm them before going

go, have fun...Baja is nothing if not resilient. little Loreto is up and running though we were not as hard hit. La Paz is coming along. another
month and all should be fine and fun. probably fun now...
