23 minutes at SY on a busy Saturday for TJ

This evening at San Ysidro at 6 p.m., the CBP site said general, Ready and SENTRI were all 20 minutes. I had a friend with a passport book and had to use the general lanes. The entire bridge was clear and the line only stretched back to five or six cars before the new "UNITED STATES" posts. Total wait time: 23 minutes. I couldn't believe it.

I've noticed the officers are in better moods, too, though I haven't gotten you-know-who yet.

I bought two coquitas from an ambulante and asked idly what he thought of this brave new world. "Son m@m@d@s," he grumbled, "nobody buys anymore because there's no more lines."

Why is anyone even concerned about the poor vendors?! The shorter wait times will bring more tourists which will create more jobs.

I crossed northbound too about 5pm, Saturday and sentry was 5 minutes but the southbound side going into MX was backed up about a mile. Many people going into MX on a Saturday maybe some went because of the fast northbound return...

The EntijuanARTE festival was at CECUT on Saturday... you couldn't get past on Paseo it was so crowded. It took us about 30 minutes to cross south at 9:30 a.m.

I checked Border Waits app at 6 p.m. Sunday and the real-data wait was 1:15. Incredible.

It appears the crossing times are truly getting shorter.

Thanks for the info

12 noon today really short lines but our crossing was 35 minutes. however it appeared the lines on either side of us were more like 15 minutes! you know how it goes!

we only crossed to come right back in to pick up tourist cards, no problemo.
