We have known Jose and his family for several years and yes he seems to be a very good worker...
I don't know if he has his Hacienda (license) if not he needs to get it.
In our experience the insurance companies like licensed contractors for estimates unless like this time they are sending their own engineers,
architects, etc with the adjusters..
This also allows him to give you a factura for work done, taxes paid etc.
Anyway, this has been our experience over the years, there will be plenty that do or don't pay any attention to this... Your call.....
Oh, we have never used Jose for construction, repairs, etc. usually for cleanup, caretaker, good interpreter, so I can not vouch for their ability
in construction...
He should know every tradesman in town very well,,,,
