After a few years of "poaching" (with permission) my neighbors Wifi signal it's time to step up to the plate and get a TelMex phone and Internet.
Don't need a phone but that's the package.
I have tried through calling and E-Mailing them in Constitution with no luck. The local repair/installer guy in the truck gave me contact information
with no results. In the beginning I did get through and E-Mailed them the information they requested but have never heard back. Does anyone have first
hand, accurate contact information and who to call, short of me going to Constitution in order to get the ball rolling?

Time to bite the bullet and go to the main Telnor office in Constitution. Bring CFE bill, resident papers and copies of house deed. You need to be
there in person to complete the paperwork and sign the contract.
Anything less and you may never get the service.

two types of service in "Loreto"
one, regular hard line to house for phone, and modem for internet. I believe you can set this up on line, but you have to go to Constitucion to pay,
set up an account, etc. you might as well bite the bullet and go. Telmex store is on main drag on the right about half way thru town. see above
for what to take.
two, in Loreto Bay (only)
you have to sign up for a contract and schedule an appointment for installation of antenna and box. they had a mass sign up at the hotel last year,
am not sure what newbies do now, but the guy in charge is:
Reynaldo 044 613 109 0494 phone calls usually go to voice mail and he doesn't return calls, though he texted me once (if you know how to text that
may be your best bet) hint: if you call in the evening you'll usually catch him off guard and he'll answer. I've never had a return email from him,
but other people have told me they have.
you can try calling the Ladatel 800 number, trying to figure out the prompts, but if you can get thru to a person, ask for someone who speaks English,
they usually have someone on duty. you are asking about Alvaron WMAX service, which is different from the usual internet so be prepared to be shunted
department to department until someone knows what the heck you are talking about.
you can also watch for a Telmex truck or car IN Nopolo proper, they are the only guys who do this service, and talk with one of them.
ps, am pleased with the service. "phone" plugs into the signal box, works fine, and your package includes a certain number of free minutes to the USA
and national long distance.

Howard,
I know its a pain but saddle up and go down to Constitucion to the Telmex office. It took me two years to get a land line and I'm just down in Costa
Loreto past your place.
The other thing you want to bring is a bill from CFE and/or OOMSAPAL. (your water bill).
The folks in Constitucion will send the order to the Telmex guy (Luis Ruiz - 613-109-6480) in Loreto, and one fine day you get hooked up. Be patient!
Also, while at Telmex in Constitucion, take your Mexican Bank information so you can set up an automatic payment. Its much easier to have the payment
deducted automatically from your account every month than to hassle paying in Loreto. It works well, they have never overcharged my account. I use
Bancomer....(the only game in town...)

I talked to Luis several months ago with no results and now it looks like a road trip to Constitution .

I recently checked about upgrading my home Internet speed, I get about 3mbs, I'm getting ready to cut off my dish and go with a VPN and Internet based
media.
Bottom line is I found out I could have Internet service now without the landline which I never use, but I think it's only about $150p cheaper per
month, I think it's $150p more for 5mbs, and the salt on the wound is that I had to pay $500usd per line,2 lines, to get service in my development
over 15 years ago, they said I would be reimbursed after more people paid to get service and and that we were paying for the original infrastructure,
when I tried to cancel one of the lines and get my so called deposit back they just kind of chuckled, had receipts and everything, TELMEX sucks.
They also promised fiber optics over 3 years ago which has not been installed, so the 15+ year old copper phone lines are under constant repair with
the heat and weather.

Stick with the 'Infintium" package.. $389mp per month.. Includes your land line phone w/ 100 mins. and internet..
After you get it set-up.. I have been paying on-line to TelMex at their Dallas,TX office through my US account.. No problems for the last 4 years with
this system..
My bill is delivered to a my PO box here in Loreto..
