Autumn comes to the Laguna Mtns.

I've been jonesing for some fall color so I went up to the Laguna Mtns in east San Diego county in search of same. I ended up on the Pacific Crest Trail just east of the Laguna Store heading south. The oaks trees were just peaking luckily. Hope you enjoy.

Rat,

To my knowledge the Black Oak is the only deciduous oak in that area, but I'm far from an expert.

Ken, we have some Encino in the Laguna mountains down here in Baja Sur.
