Just a preliminary research. With flights to Loreto getting crazy in winter, I've been thinking of flying to SAN, trolley to SY, Greyhound to Otay
Camionera, overnight bus to Sta Rosa.
There is only one problem - 99% of Greyhound passengers to Otay are locals. I will be the only one that needs FMM, and if they all get a green light,
by the time I do my thing inside, the bus will be long gone. I could just go with the flow, but there is a slim chance of getting caught at GN. I
didn't notice any cabs waiting around new SY crossing - not to mention it sucks paying for cab after I've already paid for Greyhound to the same Otay.
Incidental question - since Greyhound and cab cost about the same, - is the new ped crossing at the "old" SY a luggage-cart friendly, are there any
steps?

Here's another possibility to think about.
San Diego Airport...Volaris shuttle to Tijuana Airport...AereoCalafia to Loreto. Cheaper than the bus!

I was at SY to get my FMM and there was a family off the bus getting their FMM's while the bus waited, only took about 10 min..........

Thanks, guys. I'll see how it unfolds closer to December. I guess I could ask the Greyhound/Crucero driver to stay 10-15 minutes, and to tell me when
he can't wait any more, then I'll take my chances going "indocumentados".
1.20 pm flight Aerocalafia TIJ -> LTO is neither too cheap, nor realistic. I would need to be in TIJ by noon, impossible with flights landing in SD
at noon or later. The cost is $140, plus another $50 or more for luggage. Bus from TIJ/Otay to Sta Rosa costs $100.
Another option would be flying to Cabo, tickets are darn cheap now, but this may change when they clean it up after the Odille.
