I am taking my kids, spouses and grandkids on a quickie Ensenada cruise to unwind after a grueling Disneyland trip soon. My son mentioned that he had
heard that renting golf carts was the best way to get around Ensenada from a friend that has done this same cruise several times. On-line, I have
found a few opinions both for and against, my search on Baja Nomads shows nothing about renting golf carts anywhere in Baja. Any suggestions from our
Ensenada locals and what kind of liability and/or insurance issues will I run into, any rental companies to stay away from and most importantly, is it
a good way to get around? JH

Some of the cruise ship crowd rent quads and I have also seen some of the 4 passenger ATV's/UTV's. I have not seen any "golf carts". Don't know
anything about insurance or helmets.
I have seen these these quads and ATV's/UTV's travel all the way to LaBufadora, and up and down Highway 1.
I consider them unsafe for highway use, and the majority of drivers/passengers are jerks..........however that is just my opinion.
The cruise ship company may have rental info. The business is located near Castillo and La Marina streets, near the cruise ship terminal.
What activities in the Ensenada area are you interested in doing with your family???

The UTV (side by side) vehicles are sometimes called "golf carts" as they are close in appearance. The difference being speed, off road tires, roll
cage, gasoline engine (vs. battery powered).

No golf carts, battery or gas powered (yes many golf carts are gas powered). Not many UTV's (these are the larger 4 wheel vehicles carrying people
side by side) either. By friends from the Rodriques family (from Punta Abreojos) rent quads on the south end of the malecon and on the Playa south
of town. Have fun.
