For better or for worse, I have started the Halloween tradition in our town....last year was the first time some brave souls came to the door and now
that all the middle schoolers have me as their Profe, Halloween is ON!
This is the house:

and I was in a panic thinking I would not have candy so I asked everyone who was coming from the States to bring me some! Think there is enough lolol
? Between middle and high school there are almost 200 students - yours truly wanted to be prepared!
I must thank BajaDan and wife Jenn and cutie Bella for his fantastic donation of all thngs wonderful - bracelets and wands and swords that light up -
hats and toys in general....these kids are going to be amazed! There is even a Halloween Bingo game that is so perfect. We will start the vocabulary
for it tomorrow!

STAY TUNED FOR PICS OF THE KIDS ON FRIDAY WHEN THEY COME TO THE DOOR.
I HAVE SPREAD THE FUN AND ALL THE GRINGOES HAVE GOODIES TO GIVE. SOME GUYS FROM PRE BAJA MIL STOPPED BY WITH DECALS .... LOCAL NEIGHBOR RICKY WILL
BE HANDING THOSE OUT. HE IS GOING TO BE ONE POPULAR GUY!
What is Halloween like in your town?

How fun!!

looks great...in BA many of the kids ask for money which is a turn off. Just curious, is there a shortage of candy in your neck of the woods? There
is candy everywhere in BA!

Halloween is a great addition to many a Baja kid's enjoyment. One of the more accepted imports. Celebrating Halloween in Mexico has grown
tremendously in the last 25 years. Older generations still acknowledge Día de los Muertos, but youngsters follow Halloween more.
To join the parade of Halloween revelers, here's some in Coyote Bay ... the candy buckets get filled up pretty fast. Happy times for all of us.

Día de los Muertos is also fun, but in a more solemn and traditional way. In Mulege for instance, Xavier outdoes himself in decorating Las Casitas
with skeletons with theme costumes.

Pompano, I just love the pic! Here is a pic of the very first two kiddies....the little one was scared out of her wits .....but sure came close for
candy!

It has been a wonderful evening! The costumes were great and the kids only had 6 houses to visit but they were REALLY HAPPY! Here are some of the
faces and next year they must come before 8 pm - I forgot to tell them to come early

I GOTTA THANK DAN AND JEN AND BELLA FOR THESE WONDERFUL BRACELETS AND WANDS AND NECKLACES. THEY WERE A HUGE HIT!

THANKS TO GARY AND MARK FOR BRINGING CANDY !!! LES WAS SO WORRIED WE WOULD NOT HAVE ENOUGH BUT WE DID.

wow how did that girl in the first photo walk in those shoes???? scary all right!
Thanks to Blanca's request for candy, some guests brought us a bag too...I KNEW I would have enough as we get very few, if any...trick or treaters...
but I was ready!
So I have my Halloween get up on and am waiting waiting waiting but nothing. Later Juan says the 2 men renting a room here at the Inn had some girls
in their room!!! I thought boy they must have got lucky at Loncheria Mari...turns out they were trick or treaters...jajajaja

We had over a hundred kids visiting us last night here in Nopolo.
We're 6 miles out of town and every year we see an increase in Halloween participants. And great costumes , especially the little tykes.
First year we ran out of candy after 3 hours.

Nomads on Halloween night....
How do you know when you're too old to Trick or Treat?
You get winded from knocking on the door.
You're the only Power Ranger in the neighborhood with a walker.
When the door opens you yell, "Trick ..." and can't remember the rest.
By the end of the night, you have a bag full of restraining orders.
