Anyone in Mulege know if you can walk or bike from the Oasis to town ? I know the lower bridge is out. Maybe it will get repaired with a couple of
culverts and rock fill as a seasonal structure?
I sure liked being able to bike to town on the lower route rather than taking the highway overpass.willyAirstream - 10-30-2014 at 07:19 AM
The road under the bridge just opened. The small bridge survived, but the earth on the town side got washed away. The river road is in poor shape,
water level is up to Leons retaining wall and you can not pass by at high tide. Same with the adjacent house. You can walk or bike in the other
direction, towards the lighthouse. A grading may open this section up for cars. 2 years ago, they filled in front of Leons to make the road passable.
Hopefully, that will happen again. The entire river edge has changed, especially by the Orchard. Bring your waders.Ribbonslinger - 10-30-2014 at 07:41 AM
Thanks for the info. Sounds like we can tough it out at low tide. Good exercise.chuckie - 10-30-2014 at 07:52 AM
