WHAT BECAME OF ARTHUR W. NORTH

vacaenbaja - 11-2-2014 at 02:55 PM

The writings of Arthur W. North ,("Camp and Camino in Lower

California", "The Mother of California") have left me with a thirst to

find additional works and more about the man himself.

This proved to be a somewhat difficult task as many of his work

were not widely published. I did once find a photograph of his taken

while he was in Mexico at the Hall of the Monoliths. It was on ebay

and snatched up before I could bid.

My curiosity led me to the Walton Heritage website where I

saw a picture of a monument made to Mr. North

which read in part "lost on a canoe venture

on the Genesee." or something to that effect
.
I began a search and finally round about found this.

It may take a bit to load up.It is a 1.24mb PDF of the front
page of the local newspaper.
