Donations to Desert Hawks... Thank you!!!

Our non-profit rescue group in El Rosario has been receiving donations from BajaNomad's and friends. Some of you have stopped by on your travels through Baja, others sending donations via PayPal. It does not matter how much or where, every penny and/or items we have received is helping us to maintain a continuous emergency rescue service in the area. Also we have had the opportunity to meet many of you and that is a wonderful plus.

Last Saturday (November 1st) Dave from the Butte Department of Forestry and Fire Protection stopped by BajaCactus in El Rosario and delivered us some supplies for our ambulance and the fire/rescue department we are now trying to setup. Amongst other items he brought us some rigid cervical boards, wildfire jackets and pants, EMT's bags and fire/rescue backpacks filled with supplies, splints, cervical collars, disposable masks, gloves, air splints and many more items.

Also John Hall (BajaMedic) drove this weekend all the way from Northern California to San Diego and brought us a much needed gurney, rugged and in semi-new condition and a 2 meter VHF radio base, along other many, many items. I will post some pictures on what BajaMedic donated to us later.

On behalf of the Desert Hawks volunteers and the people of El Rosario, we thank you all for your generous donations and efforts that give us the opportunity to be of service and help those in need around this area, including travelers along Highway 1... THANK YOU!!!

Excellent that Dave and John were able to help as well as many others. We appreciate what the Desert Hawks have done and continue to do. Also a big thanks to you (Antonio) for overseeing this operation.
