Need some "carpintero". It's a trailer, low ceiling, so I need to either shorten a standard 24" high wall cabinet, or make a custom size. (And - no,
standard 18" high wall cabinet is too small, I need 22" high).
Also, is there any place here to get a piece of standard laminate counter like those in Home Depot? It's 5/8" thick, in Home Depot they call it 3/4
but it's 5/8. Old counter has a rounded corner and a plastic trim in front rather than laminate "lip". I can't use 1.5" lip-less counters because
mine is 5/8", and can't use those old-style with lip because there is a rounded corner on one end. So I need to either cut the "lip" off a standard
5/8 counter and attach my old plastic trim or some other strip, or to custom-make 5/8" lip-less counter with rounded end.
In other words - need somebody who knows this woodwork, not just to take one out and put another one in. If it were just a replacement work, I
could've probably done it myself.

The best carpenter that I know has moved his shop from Palo Verde to Vizcaino, but comes back over here whenever he has a job is Juan Cesena. His
number is 615-155-8353. From your description, he is the guy for the job.

Thanks Pescador. 615 looks like landline number. Now I only have to figure out how to use a Canadian cell phone here ...

No, actually that is a cell phone. All phones in this area start with 615. Hopefully you can find someone with a Mexican cell phone, it is an easy
call. Or you can go to the Telephone, Telegraph office in Santa Rosalia. Are you in Santa Rosalia or at San Lucas?

There is a guy, Peter, in Palo Verde that replaced a couple closet doors for me. Good work but a bit pricey. Another guy, Jorge Bargenes, from Santa
Rosalia stopped by looking for work and he measured up a door for me 3 weeks ago and gave me a decent price. SENORCARPINTERO007@yahoo.com. Said it
would be 10 days but has not brought the door. I've given up on him.
edit: Oh, and Temo at the lumber yard in San Bruno is doing some doors and cabinet work now too.

Yeah, but Juan is the only guy who I figure could do this cut to fit work. He is now in Vizcaino but he has come back here for a few jobs in San
Bruno.

Thanks guys. Yep, this cut to fit job is a little more difficult than replacing a door.
