I often do just that.
However, a non working printer in my neck of the woods would more than likely end up as an anchor or mini artificial reef.
Despite it's non functionality right now, some techie might get it going.

Did you try uninstalling the software on your computer and then reinstalling it? Worked for me on my Epson danaeb - 11-9-2014 at 11:18 AM
I agree with re-install. It would be waste to throw it out if it's something that can be fixed by a re-install or downloading new driver software.

I would do that but then I would have TWO Epson's.
I would rather give it to a nice home and let someone else do the tweaks necessary.
So for now......it's still offered FREE. Just come and get it out my garage.
Power cable included.
