This is from a trip in 2012.
road to Virginia Lakes
Dead Man Summit; the pass, and the nearby creek with the same name, were named for the decapitated body of a murder victim found in the vicinity
around 1868.

Thanks Ken. I liked how you handled that high contrast situation in the first image.
I think I know where the waterfall picture was taken. I took some as well of a weathered tree in the other direction. I'll see if I can find it.

Same place and the leaf colors are about the same colors too.
Love that drive over Sonora pass.
