I did a search and found several from former races, but nothing live. While I appreciate the live tracking and video at the starting line, I miss the
detailed real time info only found on the radio feed.

this just in from RDC.
"Let me get this straight. We(Humans) launched a satellite over 10 years ago and hurled it through deep space millions of miles away. Shut it off for
2 years while it floated in orbit. Flipped a switch and fired it back up and then went and dropped a lander on a comet Millions and Millions of miles
away and have direct communication with it. But we cant get an Audio feed from Mexico."

The Weatherman is on line right now!: http://198.58.106.133:8037/baja1000.mp3.m3u
(Weatherman is race communication relay for emergency or assistance to the racers)Ateo - 11-13-2014 at 05:41 PM
Thanks for the links DK. I'm streaming the Weatherman and watching the tracking, Facebook, and Twitter. Yes, I'm a loser! Sounds like our rider
(Brabec) came off the bike a few hours ago but is OK.

Not a loser. I've got my laptop and iPad both going, following RD, fb, Weatherman, and obviously BN too. Sure wish I were there.

THR/Precision Concepts/Kawasaki wins the 47th Baja 1000!!!!! Stoked. That team put so much into this win and I can't be more happy for them! They
also take back the 1X plate from Honda. See you in San Felipe!!

from enduro 360.
The first bikes have just arrived in La Paz. The battle all day was between the 1x Honda of Colton Udall Team and the 4x Kawasaki of Ricky Brabec.
Both bikes were almost within sight of each other for the first 600 miles. Around mile 670 the 4x Kawasaki lost a rear tire and had to make emergency
repairs. Rider Max Eddy was able to find a used tire at a pit and get it mounted on the bike. That put the Kawasaki team down about 20 minutes. Later
they would loose about another 20 minutes south of San Ignacio giving the Honda a big lead.
Over the night the Kawasaki team was able to claw back time all the way. They took the physical lead near the 1,000 mile mark. Word is that 1x rider
Ian Young had a crash and possible broken arm to set the Honda team back.
At the finish it was the Kawasaki first across the line, arriving about 20 minutes in the lead. The next bikes are over 250 miles behind as I write
this. It will be about 5 hours before third place arrives to La Paz.
As always, we will have to wait to see if any penalties are assessed before results are official.
and a shout out to roger norman for again, the worst coverage and tracking ever!

"But WAIT!!!", she said, "there's MORE!!!"
When (corrected) times are figured out, it was a four wheel vehicle (on the "right" tires ) #11 Rob MacCachren finished in 22hrs30min33secs which takes the overall win with an average speed over the 1275 miles course of
56.6mph....even faster than the motorcycles (4X started at 06:00 and finished at 06:18 making their run 24hrs18min).
So far BFGoodrich has clinched thirteen classes and we're still waiting for #1121 to come across the finish line (and unless something outrageously
unfortunate happens, they can definitely do that by the latest and greatest revised closing time - that would be the joke of the day for those of you
not living through the madness - of 1700PST)
BFG Class wins: TT, 1, 5, 8100, 3000, BC, 3, TTSpec, 7SX, Spt 1500, 8, 5/1600, 12David K - 11-15-2014 at 11:40 AM
Ellen, is there a link to the finishing times/ positions on the Internet? Thanks!willardguy - 11-15-2014 at 12:03 PM
I'll tell ya whats impressive are the golf carts! er...UTV's, sorryTMW - 11-15-2014 at 02:53 PM
Congratulations to 4X for the OA bike win and Rob Mac for the TT and OA 4 wheeler win and OA win.
Since the bikes went to the 450cc 4 stroke engine the bikes can't win OA on a run to La Paz or Cabo. They can in the tight twisty stuff but not where
power and high speed are required. Kawasaki on a KX500 were the last of the really fast bikes. 63mph average in the 1995 B1K. But we are in different
times and the factories no longer want to use the Baja as a testing ground or Ad source.capt. mike - 11-16-2014 at 07:51 AM

I posted the BFG web page with all the race links over on TW's Baja 1000 Map thread. There was no Relay 12 (Wild Bill) link there, and it took some
effort to find the Weatherman Radio link.
