Mexicali east sentri and pedestrian crossing lanes

Hi all. I'm trying to find info about mexicali east border crossing. My wife and I usually take mexicali west crossing (she goes through sentri, I walk across.....long story) but that's super easy to figure out where the lanes and pedestrian crossing is. However, I can't find info for the Mexicali east crossing and where the sentri lanes are. And also, where the pedestrian lanes are. I know there are great detailed maps showing that info for otay and SY.... Does anything like that exist for Mexicali east?

I just came through Mexicali East a few hours ago... I'm not sure if there is a map or not. The Sentri lane is the far left lane and is very well marked. I've seen people get dropped off and they have to walk through the lanes to the right to get where pedestrian traffic goes. However, there are signs that say it is prohibited. I know a lot of people do it, but beware that if enforced your wife could possibly lose her Sentri pass. Good luck!

drop your rider at the stop sign in front of the Mexican border building. I do not remember seeing a sign before that point prohibiting stopping. Since at a stop sign easy for walkers to cross the lanes of traffic to the right side of the road. Then must walk over the bridge, have never done it but have dropped riders off and they have said easy to figure out where to go. You then meet them behind the service station. It is not a short walk but much quicker than Mexicali old border crossing for pedestrians.

ok thanks guys. So I'll need to jump out of the car at the stop sign, walk across the bridge about 1km to get to the pedestrian crossing. Makes sense. looks like a super long walk but oh well. I might try this crossing instead of the west crossing. really depends on the border wait times.

We always go to the east border even with a ped. I will jump out at the top of the bridge sometimes but you have to jump over the barrier so If you can not do that it is better to get out at the stop sign but it e\is a very long walk. I agree it is still better than downtown

thanks Mick. I'll be the one jumping over the barrier, so thats doable.

hopefully the ped crossing wont be a mess after thanksgiving weekend.

I don't think the ped crossing at the East border is ever a mess...not that many walkers
