Nice looking truck.chippy - 11-16-2014 at 12:13 PM
Thanks everybody. For DK its a 2015 VW Amarok double cabin 4x4 tdi pickup. Its got traction control and electric locking diff. I think like your
Toyota? The size is a bit bigger than a Taco. I havenŽt driven it far enough to get the mpgs but that will happen soon.willardguy - 11-16-2014 at 12:56 PM
from our amarok discussion last year

Nice ride chippy.
Two weeks ago on sunday 9th, i was driving to Guerrero Negro when a dozen or so Amaroks of every color zoomed in in front of me, they all had mexican
plates, just like yours.
This may be a long shot, but if you happen to know any of the drivers, please tell them they are some of the most stupid, careless and idiotic people
this road have ever seen. They were reckless driving at 90 mph tailgating each other, passing all at the same time leaving little or no space to
oncoming traffic.

Coupla questions. I know, if you have to ask, you can't afford it, but???
Also, anyone know if something like that would be allowed into the land of the free for a short visit?chippy - 11-20-2014 at 07:06 AM
IŽll be driving mine up there next month. As long as you have insurance and a Mexican driver lic. with your Mexican plated vehicle you are good to go.monoloco - 11-20-2014 at 07:30 AM
Just curious, how much is the annual tenecia on a new vehicle these days/chippy - 11-20-2014 at 08:20 AM
It was around 1800 pesos for tenencia+new plates. It should about 30% less when I have to do it again in Jan.tripledigitken - 11-20-2014 at 08:54 AM
I'm curious what the manual says about fuel requirements, (ulsd).chippy - 11-20-2014 at 10:12 AM
My manual says that if you use fuel that does not comply with a "din en 590" rating and has higher sulfer levels you have to change the fuel filter
every 10,000 kilometers instead of every 80,000 kilometers. So IŽm thinking the "din en 590" fuel must be ULSD?

Can ordinary Mexicans own diesels, now?
neilm81301 - 11-28-2014 at 12:31 PM
I thought that was verboten, at least, a few years back.
