JR was with me over those X-mas days. Yes we had tooooooo much fun here in Mulege.
This is the ultimate story:
JR pyulled in a parking lot of a Motel and his "Bamboo-Rack-Truck passed his Van.
The hitch was broken off the "Bamboo-Rack-Truck" so the truck just passed the Van.
Imagina that was happening on the highway > somewhere just in one of these fabulous turns ?????
The "Bamboo-Rack-Truck" wouldn't be in existance any more.
Question than would be: How to identify JR?
MiNo was in the near somewhere so his wife drove MiNo's car, MiNo drove the "Bamboo-Rack-Truck" and JR his Van.
We had awfull good times and MiNo's wife used three days to recover.

Anyway, the hitch is welded on again and JR left Southbound. Day before yesterday.

Her will be in the La Paz area today, he said.
That's what I know.

Have fun finding him, folks.
He said he will be in the mountains for some time.

Y'all have a nice day and lots of fun, will you?

Accurate reporting from afar

jrbaja - 12-30-2004 at 01:44 PM

Yall pretty much covered it. The stories too long to write now as I just arrived in Los Barriles after unloading the truck.
All the above is true, trans cooler went out around Agua Verde and used the bamboo truck to pull the van into Villa Insurgentes with the help of a couple guys from Vizcaino.
I watched about 30 cars pass me by without stopping with Ca. plates, windsurfers, ATV's, etc.:fire: P-nche gringos are alive and pendejos!!!
Probably doesn't apply to everyone but enough so that who cares!!
Baja Searth and Rescue actually did come to my aid as soon as I was in calling range of a BSAR mech. Total bill for new trans. cooler, new lines, change oil was $130.00. Not too bad for an emergency repair.
I'll be spending a couple days in San Bartolo and then coming up tp La Paz to see everyone there.
Bamboo is planted and growing on both properties here for those that are interested.
Weather is awesome and just right to get rid of my cold. Hasta luego.
