Iguana. As a kid I raised one to a bit over five feet. The one in the pic looks like a female.

That is a spiny tailed iguana in the juvenile stage. When it gets a bit larger it will lose the green coloring.

FEED IT !! Keep it around, it may fatten up enough for xmas dinner. I hear they taste like chicken.... :bounce:  ;)

The locals claim that eating them is good for the pulmones.

Sna Paulina, I totally concur. A gorgeous creature, and so are many on the earth.

However, not ALL taste like chicken; some taste like Lobster, Venison, Ribeye, and Yellowtail... or better, COCHITO!!

VIVA LA COMIDA BUENA, celebrate life. It's all good, que no?

  ;D :dudette:

There are some feeding tips. It's really good looking now.

MMc thanks for the info, I'll see if i can train him ! Hopefully they won't reproduce rapidly or I will have an Iguana farm... lol !!

I have this Iguana living behind my wall. He/She? is probably the
papa or mama of the green one. It measures approx 20" head to end of tail and allows me get within about 4 feet then slowly crawls away

Also have a juvenile iguana hanging around measures about 14" head to tail.

P., that looks like a gecko with the spongy toes; don't Iguanas have claws?? I dunno, never skinned one of either. CUTE little beggar, tho! ...matches yer freckles.... wonder if that's an auto-defense mechanism...
:?: ;)

BB,
Yes, it's a gecko. I posted the photo in reply to Connie's post. I love them all. And yes, iguana's have claws. Unfortunately, no iguanas living in Bahia.
