This time it's that icon of the holiday season. Noche Buena beer.
Noche Buena hit town pretty early this year. I first saw a case being sold in an OXXO in mid November. Cases of non-deposit bottles were selling for
138 pesos, which I thought was the best deal around on a quality beer in Mexico. I bought one.
I nursed my case through mid December, thinking that there would be an abundance during the holidays. But the value side of me decided that if I could
get a few cases at 138 pesos, it might be wise to do so. So, I began searching.
Lo and behold, it's not to be found ANYWHERE!!! Not Walmart, not OXXOs, not an expendio........not even at the main Agencia in Guaymas.
What happened to this Stalwart of the Season? Did it disappear over on the Baja, too, or are they just not shipping it to this part of Sonora?
I really liked this year's version. It was somewhere between Bohemia Clara and Bohemia Oscura in taste and body.
Last year, it could be had well into February over here.

By case, I mean a 12 pack in the carton. BooJumMan - 1-6-2015 at 11:01 AM
Didn't see any last week in Baja, I was looking for them. Also, the Mexican market near my house in SD did not have them either. DENNIS - 1-6-2015 at 11:09 AM
They may be trying to control their store inventory as after the new year, they have to put it on sale to get rid of it. The year is printed as part
of the label on the bottle neck. luv2fish - 1-6-2015 at 12:48 PM
