Olive Trees in La Paz

ncampion - 1-6-2015 at 05:29 PM

We are looking to buy about ten olive trees to plant in our yard in Loreto. There are none here and we were wondering if any of the big viveros in La Paz have any. I would like them to be 1-1/2 to 2 m tall. Thanks

Hola,

if bought in the guadalupe valley, wouldn't it be a problem taking it south through the guerrero negro checkpoint ? isn't it a fruit and vegetable checkpoint ?

just a thought,

was not a problem for us...or the nursery in Vizcaino....but I am not saying others would not have a problem.

I got 5 of them at Vivero Santa Anita in Constitucion. They also have the nursery on the main drag in Loreto and you can order them.

Thanks, we were at Vivero Santa Anita a few days ago and all they had were two small, sick looking ones and they didn't know when they would get more. That's were we got the first five last year and they are really good trees for this area.

David, lots of olive trees in San Javier, but don't know if any are for sale, but worth a check, thanks.

We thought about the Guadalupe valley, as I'm sure they are available there, but's that a long way from Loreto. Makes those pretty expensive trees!

I always buy trees from the Constitucion Santa Anita because that is the main store and the owner lives there. Their trees are in top shape.

I too have bought before from the Loreto store and not had good luck. Big difference between the 2 stores.
