Doesn anyone know anything about vehicle registration in Baja. I have someone with a vehicle registered in Baja sur, however they now live in Baja
norte and the registration has expired. They now want to register it in Baja norte, however Baja norte motor vehicle department says the car first
needs to be UNREGISTERED in Baja sur before it can be re-registered in Baja norte. Does anyone know how to UNREGISTER without having to drive to Baja
sur?
Thanks in advance.

I went to the office (Finanzas) where you register your vehicle here in Todos Santos to see what you would need to do. The clerk told me that if the
vehicle is registered here, I could give him the name of the person and the VIN number on the vehicle and they can cancel it out of the computer. He
said that then you have to go to Transito (the police station) and turn in the plates. I explained that my friend was in Baja Norte not here. He said
I could go to the police station to ask about turning in the plates.
I did not go to the police station because I'm not sure if your friend is registered here or not.
I hope this helps.

Katiejay99 you are an amazingly nice person to do such a thing like that for a stranger online! THANK YOU mucho! If you are ever in San Felipe PLEASE
stop by my office in Playa de Oro, I want to buy you lunch. It would be my pleasure to get to know someone as kind as you. Or better yet, we will be
in Todos Santos on February 12.

Thank you! I actually enjoy helping others and if I am able, I certainly can do what I can. Send a u2u when you're here and we'll meet up somewhere.
It's always great meeting new people!
BTW: Shut up Frank's has Prime Rib steak night on Fridays and a fantastic Fettucini any day. (and the burgers are always the best)
Edited to say that I am absolutely NOT hinting that you can buy me a meal. I was just thinking of a good place to meet. You don't owe me anything.
