Did someone say Music?

Last night the group played at Punta Chivato at the Chibatos Restaurant and we had a really great evening. It amazes me how the temperament of the crowd changes. Some night they want love songs, some nights are pure Mariachi style, but last night was a classic Rock and Roll group and not only did they have a great time, but we did too. Musicians are Pepe Villegas, Jim Anderson, and Darlene Humphrey.

We kid him about having fingers like sausages (salchiches) but still moving over the frets like a madman. And to boot, he does it all on a 12 string. He is totally amazing. We throw new songs at him in a genre he has never heard before like Peter, Paul, and Mary or Hillbilly Rock and he picks up and does the lead part like he was playing that music all of his life.

Yes, Friday night the 30th, we are playing at El Candil restaurant starting at 5:30.
On Feb 1st, sunday, I cancelled the San Lucas Cove gig because It is SuperBowl Sunday and some want to watch the game. I will also be in La Paz for that day and Monday the 2nd to play at a restaurant there. Then we return to Punta Chivato on Friday the 6th.

Yesterday it rained like a big tropical downpour and we were afraid that we would have to cancel the gig at El Candil. When we arrived they were sweeping water out and mopping the floor like crazy. The sun came out and it got nice, even though the floor was a little wet. Try hooking up all the electricity and power to your amps with wet feet. Anyway, we finished, met Wetto, who drove down to Mulege non stop from San Diego, and packed up. On the way back to San Bruno, the skies opened up and the drenching happened again. Guess we got the break due to good Karma or someone looking over our shoulder.
