Missing Baja in the Gorge

Diver - 1-2-2005 at 10:28 AM

The first snows came to the Gorge last week accompanied by another week of almost freezing rain. It is definitely time to be in Baja !!

The like minded folks in our small town had a "Baja" party last night in an attempt to sooth our hormonal NEEDS (and cold feet).

As was recommended to us in a previous post, we turned up the heat in the house, (I wanted to heat sand in the oven to spread on the floor but my wife said NO WAY), baja music, baja tequila glasses, shorts and t-shirts, sunglasses, cerveza, beach hats, baja maps and photos,
....you get the picture.

The fish tacos were excellent, the tequila was flowing in abundance as were the tall tales of check points, breakdowns, big fish, crazy people, good times...

Amazing at the creep of gray (and lost) hair shown in the progressive photos; some of us had baja photos from the mid-seventies ! What skinny, hairy guys we were then !

The party was a great boost; and planning ahead to our spring trip south when the new house is done helps even more. We all have new "got baja ?" stickers thanks to David.

Missing Baja ? Have a party !!
See you in Baja in March !
Happy New Year !

yeah, i just came across some foto's from puerto escondido, oaxaca in the mid 80's. roger and i looked like kids-heck, we were! anyway, last week the wife and i were walking thru target and guess who was walking towards us, greyer and with his 10 year old boy i'd never met? yep, good old roger. it's amazing how things like that happen...
