Have been watching for low air fares and not seen any..Had to buy tickets last week for Feburary and It cost us $260.00 round trip from LAX to Loerto....I had seen this price before but it read like the flight had to come out of Baja...Got an e-mail that Air Alaska is coming in twice a week but at above $500.00...

As usual the airlines have more prices than....I'll be kind.

My friends will be flying Alaska out of Medford OR, by way of Portland or Seattle THEN to LAX and on to LTO for about $500 r/t.

They were originally told that their flight couldn't originate in LA!!!!

My trip will be less complicated...Insert key, start engine, face South, shift gears!
1517 miles and we're home!

Check the Alaska Air site Tuesday through Friday only for online special prices, which sometimes include flights to Loreto.

I've found for all U.S. based airlines, the prices have dropped dramatically but only to Cabo. I can now fly United or Alaska from San Francisco to Cabo for $303 non-stop, all taxes/fees included. The price drops even more if I'm willing to first fly with them to Portland or Seattle and then on to Cabo.... go figgur.

Prices to La Paz and Loreto seem to have gone up slightly in the last months.

Also there's a helpful online travel search site

Plug in your travel info and it checks all airlines and bucket shops for the best fares for your trip. While I do not believe it checks AeroCalifornia or Mexicana, using this service can dramatically cut down time spent searching for lowest fares.
