Trip past Jose s L Diablo

Had an occasion to drive out to L Diablo and stopped at Jose s at N31 4.179, W115 14.796 His location is on the east side of the lake bed and west of the East Valley graded road
His place shows a new coat of paint with his name on the side. He now has at least 4 dogs two of which are chained up and the other two are friendly
Juan is in his 90s and has been adopted by the local Jeep club and his medical visits and grocery runs are taken care of For his birthday and for the big Christmas party George Jackson and Belinda organize those affairs

And see the summit of Diablo with a red line pointing to the observatory


This day included the drive thru Calamity or Cuevitas Wash to the overlook where one can view the Sea of Cortez below. At N31 17.092, W115 06.445 The travel thru the various washes has become much better since the 250 in 2012. One of the favored local runs and usually includes the Smuggler trail side trip from Calamity to Hwy 3
