Crossing North San Ysidro Updates

Ateo - 2-11-2015 at 08:03 PM

I'm still waiting for my Sentri approval on my new truck so will be heading north through San Ysidro in the regular or Ready Lanes.

Any advice? Are the regular lanes (now fully open) better than the Ready Lane?

Where is the Ready Lane these days? Still over by Padre Kino?

I searched this site and Bajabound but came back empty.

Thanks.

Jon

I don't think the ready lanes are any quicker than the regular lanes, 20 minutes either way.

Great info willardguy. I had that feeling. Maybe not worth driving out of the way to get to. Gracias.

What day, what time?? Can say this--- the Ready Lane in SY is a b-tch to find the first time. I went thru the Ready Lane in Otay today @ 10:20 AM and had 1 car in front of me. Went from K-38 to Encinitas in less than 1 1/2 hours!!! I have wifi and check the cameras before deciding which crossing (I am disqualified from Sentri).

The Ready Lane is great from 10 am to 2 pm and after 6 pm. Between 2 pm and 3 pm all the mothers leave TJ to pick up their kids in the San Diego schools and return.
