Old SY crossing, no waiting time for buses/peds

Crossed Northbound by Greyhound bus few days ago.

In the past there was a mile-long line of "great unwashed" on foot. The bus used to go through Ready Lane and usually was taking an hour to get to the customs building 'cause there were other buses and shuttles in front.

This time there was no line of pedestrians, people from the bus together with VERY FEW other pedestrians went through in a matter of minutes. All the "special" booths like Ready Lane etc were open for everybody. There was no line of any kind, no waiting.

Didn't look closely at the car traffic, but it appeared to move smoothly as well. Again, this is Northbound.

What happened, Mexicans stopped coming? Or US border agents finally got their act together and process people faster?

Agree- They seem to be improving. Let's hope it continues.

Related- The right-most SENTRI lane at Otay is also designated for busses, so it appears they can pull up, disembark passengers at head of line near walkway, and get thru very quickly.

(I saw this when I crossed at Otay at 630 pm Tuesday 2/17, 1 car ahead in SENTRI line)

Not sure how to know which busses cross at Otay vs SY... Do all US bus operations use SY?

Greyhound buses from TJ Camionera Central, which station is located pretty much in Otay, destined to/from San Diego or LA, are all crossing at SY.

I guess some other buses (perhaps destined to AZ ?) cross at Garita de Otay.
