We headed down for Valentine's Weekend and stayed at Casa de Nomad Terry28. It was great! Super clean and he even left me a free beer in the fridge!























Had some time to catch up on some reading

Yeah, they were working on it full blast when we were there. Place was packed with ex-pats and Mexican locals. That says a lot.

Man your sitting on my bar stool at Charly`s!!! Yup-- March 17th for the party to open upstairs!
Jon-- check out the bathroom in that tile place. That is a photo opp!!

I did check the bathroom at that place Bill. INSANE tile action in there and clean!!! The lady that owns it seems nice.

Jon, Glad you enjoyed our house...and those rocks are my wife, Carols work....and yes, Magdalena at Charly's is a very nice lady.....sorry it wasn't Pacifico, I was out.......nice pics too

Is Krishnamurphy a play on J. Krishnamurti? I remember digging his books in my 20's.

Sweet! I keep saying it would be fun to hang out in that area for a weekend. My grandparents had a place they would go to each weekend on the north side of Fox Studio. I had so much fun as a kid. Now it seems like I always blast through that area headed south. With the shorter border wait times, I'd like to explore a bit and maybe even rent a place for a few nights. Thanks for sharing.

I would like to learn the name if anyone knows it. Almost looks like a succulent in the green below, but I doubt it.

Bajaboy, yeah, I understand blowing thru here if you're headed south, but like you said, with border wait times way down, heading into this area even for dinner and shopping makes sense.

The plant is very common ground cover. Not a true ice plant, I think its lampranthus or something like that. You see it on hills all over SoCal.

Nice photos. Great new about the expansion at Charly's. Does anyone know if he was able to conjure up and more parking spaces. The food is so good and reasonable, it is really difficult to find a safe place to park. Thks

If any Nomad wants a great place to stay then Terry28 has a great place to stay. Las Gaviotas is a great place for any occassion and I really enjoy my time there from June til November each year. Terry keeps his place up, as he and his wife stay there also when not renting it. By the way Terry will see you in June if you are at your house. APOLOGY TO WILLARDGUY,

Not an excuse, but at times I find it difficult to separate fact from fiction on this web site. I couldn't/can't envision how the valet parking would work. I am glad that it is going to happen. Again, I apologize for being a dip sh*t, would like to buy you a beer sometime.
