Just a note to the diesel powered travelers. A couple of weeks ago I traveled the route from El Arco to Bahia de los Angeles, then from Laguna de
Chapala to San Felipe. There was no diesel available in Bahia de los Angeles or Bahia San Luis Gonzaga, so the closest stations with diesel fuel for
this trip up the eastern side are in Guerrero Negro and San Felipe. There may be diesel in these areas now, I don't know, but it could make for a bad
day for someone who isn't prepared. Paulina - 3-1-2015 at 05:16 PM
Just curious, did you ask at both stations in Bahia? Usually only Martha's station has it ( the first one as you come into town).

Yes, I asked at the older Pemex on the right and newer on the left, heading north, and both were out.

I've never seen diesel at Gonzaga. The pump has always been covered.baja Steve - 3-1-2015 at 09:22 PM

Not normal but Martha does run out of diesel occasionally. Usually has it in a day or 2. Sergio stopped selling diesel a couple of years ago.

Bahia de los Angeles was out for a week or so, but has had it for two weeks now. Should be good for the near future.
