Located almost 4 miles towards the Pacific from Hwy. 1 (where the final location of the mission was moved to in 1799).
Site 1:
1967
1975
2003
2005
2011
The third and final site ruins are in town, near Hwy. 1, north of El Palomar campground... see the tall palm trees on your left as you are southbound
on Hwy. 1 as you come into town. They too are almost gone!

The campground by the first mission site (1791) was closed and a fence blocked the entrance so I could not get near the site for new photos.
The second site (1794) has been plowed over.
That leaves just these few, unprotected stubs at the third (1799) site of California's final mission to remain in service to the native people,
abandoned in 1849.
