Alfonso, one of the teens who is going to college in La Paz, recently started playing baseball and needs a left hander mitt.
If you have one and can mail it, we have a friend coming from US to La Bocana next week who could bring it down.
Thanks in advance ~ Blanca

Love to help.

Most mitts are made to wear on the left hand so as to leave the right hand empty for throwing the ball. That would be for a right handed person.
Is this what you mean, Blanca?
BajaBlanca - 4-5-2015 at 05:38 PM
shows how much I know - Alfonso is left-handed, so his mitt then is for the right hand.
Thanks so much for clearing this up, Dennis and hope you can find one Alan!

Whoa......that looks new? wow rdrrm8e - you have gone above and beyond for sure - I was looking for a used one and wow.....WOW!
muchissimas gracias and if you are ever down to La Paz, hook up with Alfonso (nickname Poncho) for a bite to eat! He is a good kid and when I first
started working with him at 17, I 2013, the first year of the scholarship project, no one thought he would amount to anything and one of the
teachers actually told me not to waste my time on him.
My reaction was of shock because his family simple did not know how to teach him some of the basics that we all take for granted: get to school on
time, keep yourself groomed, your school uniform must be complete. It took months but eventually he got to school on time, he went to the hairdresser
(paid my me) whenever his hair got out of control, and his uniform was right on. His grades got better and better.
He is now a sophomore in college and he is one of the ONLY ones who never seems to be stressing about school exams ....he is naturally smart, I
believe he will excel at International Business - his major. His family is one of the neediest I have had the pleasure of helping and also one of the
proudest of his achievements.
It is new for him to start baseball as a sort - he did jog before but on his own...nothing official. I think it is great - so THANKS for helping to
make another dream of his come true!
