I am glad you posted this link. I did not read many of the reports from users, but the one posted about their rip-off experience with a pre-paid
rental car and insurance with Thrifty was an eye opener!chuckie - 4-9-2015 at 09:58 AM
Disagree Dennis....Dint read any of the Cabo stuff, but the reviews on the restaurants I am familiar with were spot on...güéribo - 4-9-2015 at 11:04 AM
My experience with Trip Advisor is reviews by regular folks. I've depended on TA quite a bit when travelling, for hotel and restaurant reviews by
folks who have checked them out. Usually hasn't steered me wrong. I'd like to see what the Baja threads are. Thanks for posting the link.DianaT - 4-9-2015 at 11:07 AM
Bought and paid for advertising. Anything but objective.
Know people who get their friends to write a positive report; friends who have never even stayed at the place they are reviewing. Same with the
restaurants --- lots of reviews by friends.
We look at it mostly for a list of what is in an area where we are.

Usually, though, the truth rises to the top eventually!Bajahowodd - 4-9-2015 at 05:02 PM
The site was created by Expedia who has since spun it off. Tripadvisor actually runs many other travel sites.
Despite what they say about monitoring fake posts, to this day, there are a number of false reviews, that include having a taco stand named as the
number one restaurant in Cabo.
