Just got an email form Spot for a free sat phone here.
You have to buy the phone for $500 then they will rebate the entire amount when you sign up for one of their plans.

Better check this out VERY carefully!!! Globalstar jumped into the satellite phone business a number of years ago and I bought one(still have it,
good deal if you want it). Turned out to be virtually useless and I still have heard very little positive about their services.
The SPOT locator has been fairly reliable so "maybe" they have improved things. Buyer Beware!
