Good one, David. I saw one of their kind in the Balboa Park Zoo last week. They are sure big buzzards and I wish them well.

Try and get over to the San Diego Wild Animal Park... renamed San Diego Zoo Safari Park... not only condors, but lots of Boojums and Cardons growing as you walk to the Condor Ridge exhibit. Hwy. 78, east of Escondido.

Great post. Saw one in the Inyo mountains many years ago that had strayed a bit off course. The amazing thing is that when you see one, you KNOW what it is...they are huge!

Wow, thanks for the video! What amazing birds. I would love to be able to see one in the "wild" in Baja someday. I'm glad that they are being reintroduced and I hope that the project goes well.

Nice video, thanks for posting David. That cliff looks like La Corona perhaps? Only escarpment I can think of that faces west.
