I should know this, but I'm asking regardless. Driving down Sunday May 3rd for close to a month. I know, pretty nice huh?
I've driven numerous times but things change constantly right?
I'm assuming getting the above on a Sunday and paying the fee should be no problem when crossing San Isidro.
Any recents experiences or problems?
Thanks & looking forward to beautiful Baja, warm water, good surf and cold beers!

The INM is open every hour the border is open... finding someone to do the work or collect the fee on off hours may be the only issue. My wife and I
got ours at Tijuana on a Sunday afternoon, in 2012.

You forgot to tell WHERE.
As David noted, INM is open when the border is open. The border, in turn, is open 24/7 on most crossings and limited hours (though same 7 days) on
some.
In any event, INM window with tourist cards may or may not be open when the border is. This is Mexico, duh. Regular Sunday daytime "should be" Ok.
Holidays or middle of the night can be more difficult. You will still find somebody on those days too, but it will take time and polite persistence.

The OP said he is crossing Sun. San Ysidro, seems one of 3 things would be psssible, get fmm pay teller, get fmm pay Imm Officer directly, get fmm pay
down the road, 5 days or so.
Downtown Mexicalli crossing on Sun., reports fmm issued
pay at Bancomer in San Felipe
