I'm hungry. Years ago we drove up into the mountains out of Elias Calles looking for queso fresco. We saw a few of those types of kitchens at the ranchos we stopped at and we found some great cheese. Thanks for sharing that.

I would love to have a meal there, it looked absolutely delicious! The photography really captured the lifestyle.

Thanks for the video....brings back some memories....

Nothing is better than food cooked on an open fire, no tortillas better than those slapped into perfection just before you sit at the table....

La Purisma....DT Bushpilot and I were invited for breakfast...

The smell of the fire, the bite of the coffee, and the warmth of the hospitality linger on...

Both the video and the photos are wonderful. I'm hungry too!

It's amazing what one can actually accomplish without all the modern day gadgets.
Wonderful video, thanks Doug !

A great `` day in the life`` video. Beats Starbucks and Taco Bell by miles. Not even a tortilla press to assist. A good presentation of rancho living.

Rancho gourmet. I love machaca for breakfast!

And if you're on the road passing thru Cataviña stop at the restaurant across the road from the the lobby of Hotel Mision Cataviña, they serve great machaca, tortillas de harina (hand made) and great frijoles refritos... m... mm... mmm... not to say the least about the fresh café de olla.... or a cold one...
