New Baja Ferry to Mainland?

wornout - 1-8-2005 at 08:50 PM

A friend here in San Felipe said a friend of his just took a ferry from the mainland to baja. He said the cost was $60 for his vehicle and he didn't need a room because the trip was only 6 hours, not the usual 16 hours.

I couldn't find anything about it on the Ferry Company page. Does anybody have any info on this?

Thanks, that must be the one because the price is and crossing time is what I heard. And this site is in English too.

However it is 650 pesos per person and the vehicle is 970 pesos.
I could not tell from what i read if you must pay both, but probably so.

Yes, you pay for your vehicle according to it's length as shown on the web site.

You then pay a separate fare for each person.

On longer voyages on larger ships, you can also pay for a cabin, which is of course an add'l fare.

We took the Guymas to Santa Rosalia run a few years back...quite an experience...don't think I'd do it again.

If you travel on one of these ships, you can't go back to your vehicle once you leave port. Take a cooler with goodies, food, drinks, etc. up on deck with you.

You also have to leave any pets inside the vehicle for the duration...no walks around the poop deck.
