Had to imagine they® are "fighting" over this route ... must mean the government is doing a better job going up the mainland on both sides ... but, who knows

Keep safe :):)

News seems to say turf battle. I think all of Baja has been a route North for drugs for a long time. With the insatiable demand in the US it is very lucrative. With the war on Cartels new battles pop up to replace kingpins arrested or eliminated.

Not a great place to be an independent dealer

So sad that these crimes reflect on the city of La Paz ( peace ). I guess the old cliche stands true...... If guns were outlawed, only outlaws would have guns..

This makes me very sad - I've only been to La Paz twice but definitely plan to return someday.

It will calm down, one of these days.

My Pappy used to say, "Cheer up, things will get worse".

So I did, and they did. :smug:

This is nothing compared to whats happening around here today. They hit banks, gas stations, bloqeos all over here and colima + shot down a navy helicopter.
We were able to go around 2 burning big rigs blocking both lanes but larger vehicles couldn´t pass.
Things are heating up with Nueva Generation on the warpath:bounce:

Wow is right soulpatch. I think we picked the wrong puente to drive to Durango:o? We´re hole up in Tepic at the moment. We will see what it is mañana.

You can thank the politicians in BCS for the current violence. It's no coincidence that the governor's cousin happens to be the head of Nuevo Generation. The governor and the state police are completely corrupted by cartels.

You don't think that they pay the 16% VAT for their ammunition directly to the Governor do you?

I have a feeling that he gets a lot more than that. BCS is a haven for corrupt politicians.
