i think my lnb is failing...
i can buy the exact replacement
but im using a 6 foot dish and
the lnb specs say its for an 18 inch antenna
is there a focal length for an lnb
and do you need a different lnb for a larger dish antenna
could this be why my signal is around 25 and not the normal 60 it is in the states
who knows the answer?
they only cost about 20 to 30 bucks

Don't know ...but, the question intrigued me

Appears there is a "focal point" ... along with a couple of other things
This may help ... in some way

I'm not familiar with the feed element shown above but if the LNB is not a separate device housed in the box then yes it is part of the focal point.
Dishes I am familiar with have a feed horn and the LNBs attach to it. If the unit you have worked great at one time then I would say buy the same
replacement.

My dual lnb seems to fail very 3-4 years, I buy mine on eBay for around $20, I'm using on a 1.2 meter dish. I believe everybody uses the same size lnb
for dish network and the sat dish size does no matter, I could be wrong though.
My dish bill just went up to $126.00 last month, I just set up a vpn 3 days ago through my router to get away from it, now I have all Amazon, Netflix,
and anything else streaming, seems to be working pretty well so far.
