what is the Spanish word for those roadside shrines to the dead? Used to know it, have a ton of photos of those along the Baja road but have lost the word. Once considered a photo book of them. They're fascinating and would love the stories behind them. Thanks in advance.

Seriously great idea!
We are missing the Baja Calendar this year, as the Baja Jims are busy on other projects... Ken, those 12 are easily calendar material!

Very nice. Thank you for posting. Especially like the one with the dunes and the half-buried dwelling. Makes me want to find out more about it. Very nice!

I am going to take a guess and say that's in front of the hotel south of San Quintin...
the Hotel Mision Santa Maria,

formerly Desert Inn,
formerly La Pinta,
formerly El Presidente San Quintin.

Udo - 6-4-2015 at 06:12 PM
