I am going to be coming back from Rosarito in my wife's car that has no sentri on it. I go to TJ frequently and it appears they keep closing roads
used to get to Sentri and the ready lines. There are now concrete divers so you can not cut over to Ready from either the regular line or Sentri
line. Does anyone know of an easy way to get to this line?woody with a view - 6-15-2015 at 12:21 PM
a couple weeks ago we crossed at 9am on a Saturday at TJ heading north. it took 20 minutes. all the lanes were the same length. not sure if it really
matters unless you have sentry.bajatrailrider - 6-15-2015 at 01:42 PM
Crossed Ready line same time as freind Reg line. Reg line was faster. Side note Most people use ready line, and dont have ready line card.Udo - 6-15-2015 at 02:25 PM
I don't know what a Freind Reg line is.
Also I think it is spelled ready LANE, not line. According to CBP, those people using READY LANE, must have a READY LANE CARD, or they will be turned
around.
(I think I'm with DK on the spelling issue...this is getting ridiculous, or perhaps people are not as educated as we thought.)

I use the ready lane. It's not easy to get to. You need to approach the border from the east, driving west on the highway that approaches the
crossing. I'll try to explain.
Take the toll road and then the highway that goes to the border.
When you make the left turn to get into the lanes that go to the crossing make sure you keep the concrete dividers to your left (right side of the
dividers) and go to Colonia Federal.
At the traffic circle make an almost 360 (it was almost a U-turn but there is construction going on now) and follow that road until it splits into 3
choices. Take the middle lane.
Continue on to the second traffic circle. Not counting the circle you just negotiated.
Make the first right as you go around the circle. It's real quick, you hardly enter the circle. Go down that road a short distance.
Make a right and quickly get into the left lane and enter the highway. You'll see what I mean.
Once on the highway proceed to the lane marked Ready Lane, it goes uphill.
Make sure to get in the left Ready Lane, there are two. The left lane will have a longer line but it moves much faster because it fans out into
several more lanes just before the inspection booths.
Getting to the border at around 6PM on a weekday is good. 2 AM is better.
