Both wunderground and windyty say it's probably going to hook left out to sea and miss the peninsula, as of today's forecast...... let's hope so.

One MILLION people evacuated out of harm's way in the last few days in Shanghai area of China.... can you imagine?

Stall out off the tip for a while new storm, and let me get to that south facing point break.................less than 2 weeks and I'll be on the road.......

Go to EEB Mike and NOAA and others and you'll see the wave site is featuring a SQUALL, not a cyclone. Big waves, big squall.

Squalls down here last from 1 to 4 hours, then dissipate. I've been caught out in a couple of em and learned not to head for the barn thru 6 foot waves but to stay on a safe course, save gas, be ready and be patient.

No hurry.....my gut tells me that there are going to be a few more of these disturbances this season. I am envisioning interesting back roads when I get there in October.

AKg, you don't understand. Ateo has visions of double-overhead waves blocking out the sun during his short time at SJ.

I'm hoping his karma is right with the world!!!

The waves from those squalls don't bother me that much, but the lightning scares the bejezus out of me.

Just the beginning. This is only Dolores and only July. Get prepared.

I hear you Woody, and I hope Ateo gets the waves he wants, I believe he deserves them! I just meant that I think that more are on the way, and I hope the timing is right for him.

Persoally, I prefer my waves frozen. That is why I broke camp in Baja at Thanksgiving to hustle back north for the first storms of the season. There weren't many more after that, worst ski season I have ever endured!

I think the sea is gonna take back some land on this one:o
Good luck and fun Ateo, Wish we could break away

sailflow is still showing it stays at sea.
BUT ...sure gets BIG !
and we all know how predictable these canes are !

Projects it staying west of Baja... looks like a great wave machine for the surfers!
