yep...shaping up to be an epic fishing season! We are already catching quality yellowtail here in Asuncion, today they got into a school of 25-35lb fish and big barracuda which usually means the wahoo will visit...send some tuna back our way will ya?

Nothing wrong with catching trout Jim...I think I would really love to take a break and fish the mountains!

Nice to see Tuna in US waters again. I hopped on a 3/4 day boat out of Point Loma Sportfishing on Aug. 12, got one bite late in the day on bait but it was a good one; a nice big Yellowfin. Did not weigh it whole but came home with 11 pounds of sashimi-grade fillets from one fish. We were due west of Blacks Beach about 15 miles out. Tuna fishing tends to be hit and miss, though, saw a lot of 3/4 boats returning with 80 percent of the passengers skunked over the weekend. You have to expect that from time to time, $150 for a long boat ride and some fresh air and a cheesburger.

had a bruiser on for 15 minutes that spit the hook at color. 12 miles SW on Oside.
