Our yellowtail season usually starts in mid August with schools of small fish but like last year, with the El Nino conditions we have yellowtail here
a couple months early. Before Dolores, the pangas were ordered out of the water so on their way back to Asuncion from San Roque, Juan & his
fishing partner Martin caught their limit in a flash of fish in the 25-35 lb range...which is unusual for this time of year.
they also caught big barracuda which I just finished smoking...oh man, it is delicioso!!! The presence of barracuda means that we should be seeing
wahoo, dorado and tuna soon too! But lots of yellowtail around right now. Here is the tractor pulling the panga out at Ensenadita next to our place
that is sheltered from the south swell.
