A second bridge just went; I-10 is closed both directions INDEFINITELY. The washout occurred about 50 miles west of the AZ border... more rain

On Sunday night, CHP said the closure was expected to be “long-term.”
In the meantime, motorists were being advised to avoid traveling on the 10 Freeway “until further notice,” and to use other detour routes. Caltrans
suggested drivers that need to travel between the impacted areas should use alternates such as Arizona Route 95 to Interstate 40, or Interstate 8 to
State Route 111 to Route 86.
Two other roadways — State Route 177 and State Route 78 — were also closed because of flooding due to heavy rain, according to Caltrans. The agency

Although I'd seen the Collapses/Closures TV coverage this a.m., I was unprepared for my first glimpse of SR62 through Yucca Valley later this morning.
Truck/Trailer rigs streaming Westbound in long lines.
After heading up to Poppet Flats to check out the Travel Trailer in the afternoon, we came back to the same thing in both directions.
Funny.
Well, as often said..................."we needed the rain".
BTW, That photo is of the I10 collapse near Desert Center.
